Adding External Data to a Data Set (Database Lookup)

The Database Lookup feature allows you to connect a region/field in your template to an external file in order to validate the data being processed and return additional data to your data set. For example, you can look up a student ID number and replace it with the student's name, teacher, gender and so forth. The additional data is useful when you are ready to do reporting so that you can filter on specific demographics and other information.

Adding Database Lookup is accomplished in the Template Editor. To understand how to set up Database Lookup in your version of Remark Office OMR or Remark Classic OMR, consult the help file by pressing F1 or the user's guide by clicking Help|Documentation in the software.
