Compensating for Missing or Damaged Bubbles

When scanning forms, sometimes the bubbles (marks) 'break up', meaning their are pixels missing from the bubbles, or gaps in the bubble. That renders them as incomplete shapes, which makes it hard for Remark Office OMR to find the bubbles. Often this problem happens as the result of erasures or using white out to remove incorrectly filled bubbles. You can compensate for this problem by clicking Tools|Recognition Settings|Default|Recognition, going to Advanced Recognition and then turning on the option for Compensate for Missing and Damaged Marks. Once this feature is turned on, Remark will be better able to handle degraded images.
