Importing Scanned Images

If you do not use a scanner that is directly connected to the computer running Remark Office OMR, you can import images. The typical scenario is using an MFP (Multi-Function Printer) to scan the forms, and then bringing the resulting images into Remark Office OMR. However, you can import images that are generated by virtually any image scanner. We recommend scanning the forms to TIF files, but PDF files can also be used.

To import the images, you open the template in the Data Center and then launch the Read process, choosing to read image files (as opposed to scanning). To understand exactly how to import images in your version of Remark Office OMR, consult the help file by pressing F1 or the user's guide by clicking Help|Documentation in the software.

Please see the attached white paper on optimizing Remark Office OMR with MFPs.
